This story of about 27,000 words is about the economic collapse of the US Dollar and the economy of the USA as seen and lived through by a family in rural Arizona. Naturally in the troubled times they face some hardships but having suspected something like this would happen and then being prepared saved them from the unimagined horrors and hardships that many Americans had to suffer through.
In this story there is no foul language or sex though there are one or two scenes that contain violence.
My story is only meant to provide an afternoon or evening of reading enjoyment. If when reading any story you find that an occasional grammatical error spoils your whole reading experience then you may wish to pass and not read this story as I am sure some could be found within it despite my best efforts.

It helps me to prioritize my prep...it makes me realize I have a long long road ahead to even begin to be as ready as these people. I just re-read the story after a couple of years. I really enjoyed the practical prepping pointers on storage and home security. Everybody is on the EMP kick, but the end most likely will be with a wimper, not a bang.
It is a firery book...!!!

I enjoyed this book very much as I feel it is highly relevant to our current economic situation in this country.
This is the story of two people who help each other survive the downfall of the United States economy. Everything grinds to a halt. Only the prep peers will survive. There is a goodly part on local and global economics too.
Good well written story. too short would very much enjoy a novel size book.!!!!! One thing I really like about Pete's books is that his characters shoot the bad guys and never go into mental melt down over having to shoot a person. Kill the bad guy fix some coffee have some breakfast then dig a hole to put them in. YAH !!!!!
